Over New Years we visited Lindsay's parents in TX. The weather was great (80 degrees!) and her parents watched the kids so we could go out on a date.

We had a quiet Christmas morning with just our family before heading off to Eric's parents around noon. Hannah took her time opening each present carefully and once opened she would say "WOW".

This year we spent Thanksgiving at Eric's parents house. We were joined by his grandparents, sister and brothers and their families.

Announcing the birth of Noah Mitchell on 9/29/08 at 2:48 pm. He weighed 7lbs. 15oz. and was 20.25 inches long.

Tomorrow morning I am being induced to have our baby! We are so excited to finally be able to hold him in our arms. Hannah is going to be a wonderful big sister (we hope) :)

Eric had off on Friday so we took Hannah to a local children's museum called the quaint corner. They had lots of hands on activities for Hannah to do, including a basement which was transformed into a giant sandbox!

This summer Eric planted a wonderful garden. We had cucumbers, beans, zucchini, and TONS of tomatoes.

Mahaffey 08'

We went to Mahaffey family church camp july 25th-27th. We stayed with Eric's parents in their cottage. We had a great time going to the church services and just relaxing. Hannah enjoyed playing with her cousins, taking walks and going to the playground.

Minnesota

July 20th-22 we went to Minnesota for a family reunion. It was great to see all my cousins and their kids. We went on bike rides, tubing, had camp fires each night and just enjoyed each other's company. Hannah really enjoyed playing with my sister Shawna's daughter Ella who is only 3 mo younger then her.

For 4th of July we spent the day visiting with Eric's family in Osceola Mills. Hannah enjoyed watching the parade and "catching" candy that was thrown. After the parade we walked to Grammy and Pappy Frantz's house for their annual 4th of july picnic. Hannah enjoyed running around with all her cousins. No fireworks for us this year.......maybe next year.

We have finally succumb to the pressure to have a blog. Supposedly, this will be a more convenient way for our family to share our lives with all of you. We hope you enjoy our site and look forward to posting the highlights of our lives. The main reason for having a blog is to share the joy of our baby girl Hannah Kathryn. Hannah joined our family May 2, 2007. I am sure she will dominate the content of our blogs. That is until her baby brother joins our family sometime at the end of September 2008.
